A Nod to Mid-Century Modern

A 1960s ranch home is brought up to date with clean lines and fun juxtaposition of materials.

Georgian walnut, mesquite end-grain, Monet marble, and New Zealand wool make up the array of flooring materials throughout this renovated home. Walls receive troweled stone, chunky grass cloth, Jura beige limestone, glass mosaic tiles, and a cold-rolled steel hearth to name a few. Custom cabinetry provides for office stations tucked neatly out of sight to cantilevered bath vanities, floor-to-ceiling book cases to pottery collections on display.

Iconic furniture pieces nod to mid-century modern while light fixtures are easily on par with their inherent sculptural beauty. Contemporary artwork throughout is indicative of the spirit of this family while views from floor to ceiling windows overlook a backyard worthy of an Audubon sanctuary.
